Week 1.2 IND Sketching Four Possible Ideas (Homework Task)

1. Medical- Training/ Preventing --  PAST Analysing a body, virtually recreating it in order to learn. Registered first aid assistance- linking up via notifications on phones. 2. Medical- Real Time/ Assisting --- PRESENT (In Situation) Scanning each persons biological info. Gives symptoms, stress points in the body, options to assist, options to outsource further assistance. - Gen 3. Disasters/ Earthquake- Real Time Simulates pathways out of rubble. Infrared in dark, highlights moveable objects/ immovable objects. 4. Safe Zones/ Assistance Zones- Real Time Offers directional assistance in various disaster situations. Potential collaboration with all other ideas. -Ruth

Week 1.2 Tech to Use- Hololens, VR Headsets. Initial Brainstorming

In class, we were shown a variety of mixed reality devices including VR headsets, drones and the hololens. These revealed the wide capabilities of these realities and inspired us for our own project.  Brainstorming potential scenarios we could expand on for this project: Four Independent Study Ideas: 1. Week 1.1 Learning About Realities IND

Understanding the difference in definition between realities can be a little confusing to wrap our heads around, but the easiest explanation that I've latched onto, is simply another world; something/someplace that we experience which is not the right there, right now world we're in. (eg: virtual/fictional/dream/memories/etc...) These 'realities' all depend on the use of our senses. And so in this project it is the senses we will stimulate to sell our ideas.
